" READING IS FUN "
Familiar with this line? Well, i grew up with this line actually. Let me share with you a true story that I still remember till today. I hope this post don't annoy you but inspire you to be the better version of yourself tomorrow and the day after and forever. *Give a thumbs up to yourself*
Allow me to begin with one beautiful morning, I woke up with the lazy ass attitude to get ready for school. Do you know how it feels when you gotta wake up early every single day and do the same routine? Bet you do know. So, as I walked in to my primary school compound with my bag pack and I was heading to the "tapak perhimpunan" and it was open space. School starts at 7.45 am and I still remember during my early childhood time, there was this campaign where educators, leaders across the country was spreading the "MEMBACA JAMBATAN ILMU" towards the students anywhere anytime. I'm still kid and obviously I have this kind of mindset like "Why do I have to go to school", "Why do I have to read", "Can I skip school"? and many more. I was that kind of kid .
But one fine day, my primary school invited a lady where she was wearing a costume that morning during our assembly and she have a few friends with her. Remember back in primary school where you have to line up in according to your classroom during assembly and yes that's what I'm talking about. So, the teacher asked us to sit down and enjoy the performance and kids start to feels excited hoping there will be something fun that can make our morning. I patiently wait for the performance and to my surprise it was a chinese lady where she start to read some stories to all of the students in her voice. She keep changing her voice from the slow and soft to deep and hard voice according to the story. She was a good story teller, I can say.

The lady start to read about science and fictional books and she have a few props that she brought along to make it fun and interesting as she could. As a kid, you tend to listen and pay attention to what your teacher ask you to. The result after the show makes me a interested in reading and exploring the new world of reading. I never thought this small effort that my school did can actually change my whole perception on reading .
This is where my journey begin, wait till the next post. I shall share with you more on my journey and thoughts.
